ROOMBA ROVER

[heathkit] as well as a buddy developed this rover a couple years ago. They chosen up a very first generation Roomba since it had all of the features they were looking for: a great bump sensor, low profile, wheel encoders. before eliminating the brains of the vacuum they put it in debug mode as well as figured out the manage pinout. After wiring in a pic they had rudimentary manage of the device. For some higher level processing power they connected a Virgin Webplayer (defunct Web appliance). The Webplayer has a mini-pci slot so they added a WiFi card. now they can transmit video as well as SSH into the gadget for full control.
